Lockdown effect on the children

Lockdown effect on the children I was going through today’s (June 11/2020) The Kathmandu Post and my eyes were focused on Shubham Dhungana’s interesting article about the effect of on-going lockdown on the children.   I have a 11 years old granddaughter who is in class Six at a private school. She is attending on-line classes starting from eight o’clock in the morning to one o’clock in the afternoon with one hour gap in each one hour session. Both my wife and I have teaching background which has been a plus point for us to guide and engage her with caution.   She is enjoying her on-line classes and has upgraded her reading, writing and speaking skills.   We let her talk to her friends over Viber to be in touch with them. We let her watch television and encourage her to listen to music and songs to her liking and dance if she feels doing so. This may not possible for all the children and their parents. I hope the government will seriously look into this scary si...

Prostrate Health

Prostrate health I came across with a health tips while going through today's The Kathmandu Post and thought that it would be wise to share with you. This was about the prostrate health which bothers every five men in every 10 men after attending plus 65 or even earlier age, The prostrate health is treatable if  timely treatment is done in consultation with an experienced Urologist. Some of you must have been suffering from frequent urination due to enlarged prostate . The normal size of prostrate is considered to be around 24 mg.  The prostate is a walnut-sized gland located between the bladder and the penis. The prostate is just in front of the rectum. The urethra runs through the center of the prostate, from the bladder to the penis, letting urine flow out of the body. The prostate secretes fluid that nourishes and protects sperm. I ts not only the prostrate that bothers you. It is sometimes the outlet at the bladder a...

Shameful incident

Shameful incident  T he recent brutal killings of Nawaraj BK and his other 5 friends at the west of Rukum, Jajarkot has sparked nationwide protests and raised serious questions about the true spirit of constitution implementation and rule of law of the state. The deep rooted social discrimination based on caste system in Nepal still exist especially in the remote rural areas. Many innocent persons have even lost their lives due to this status quo situation. This kind of inhuman act has increased during the lockdown period all over the nation as reported in the news media. Not all the perpetrators have been lawfully punished. Even the international organizations have raised serious concerns about this recent incident of Rukum and requested the government to seriously look into this matter. Discrimination against Dalits continues to stain Nepal’s social fabric https://tkpo.st/3cnsixC
