It seems that they have put themselves in a political ditch that does not seem for them to easily come out. They have put the nation in a very difficult situation due to their petty political interests. If the current unstable situation continues to prevail, the nation may plunge into deep constitutional vacuum inviting political, social and economic chaos. And, if this situation befalls on Nepal , there will be no immediate way out to resolve the crisis besides foreign interventions. What happens then after to New Nepal is beyond anybody’s imagination. The Himalayan Times 5 October 2012 One should not get surprised if the political parties, who were in the dead CA, failed to forge a consensus within the next two weeks as reported in “Parties failing to do what they got to do” (THT, Oct.3, Page 1). They do not seem serious and feel any pressure on resolving the political and constitutional crisis so soon. They are interested in their own petty political interest. Who is to lead the next government have been their priority agenda rather than concentrating their effort on resolving the outstanding political problems. None of the major political parties want to loosen their stands for claiming the PM’s chair. Opposition do not want to backtrack from their earlier stands claiming Baburam Bhattarai (BRB) should immediately resign for creating conducive environment for coming to a political consensus and paving the passage for the formation of a national government.
