Kudos to Hari Budha Magar

Former British Gurkha soldier Hari Budha Magar, the world's first double above-the-knee amputee, has created history by climbing the roof of the world, the Mt. Everest on May 19, 2023. A British army veteran who lost his legs while serving in Afghanistan has become the first double above-knee amputee to conquer Mount Everest. He was born in 1979 in Mirul village in Rolpa district.

Budha Magar, 43, has climbed Everest to raise awareness of disability and show that having a disability does not have to be limiting. He has also climbed Mont Blanc (4,810 meters), Chulu Far East (6,059 meters), Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters), and Mera Peak (6,476 meters).
