Kudos to Hari Budha Magar Former British Gurkha soldier Hari Budha Magar, the world's first double above-the-knee amputee, has created history by climbing the roof of the world, the Mt. Everest on May 19, 2023. A British army veteran who lost his legs while serving in Afghanistan has become the first double above-knee amputee to conquer Mount Everest. He was born in 1979 in Mirul village in Rolpa district. Budha Magar, 43, has climbed Everest to raise awareness of disability and show that having a disability does not have to be limiting. He has also climbed Mont Blanc (4,810 meters), Chulu Far East (6,059 meters), Kilimanjaro (5,895 meters), and Mera Peak (6,476 meters).  

  Many congratulations - Kami Rita  Kami Rita Sherpa, 53, scaled the 8,848.86-metre high Mt. Everest for a record 27 th time, on May 17, 2023, Wednesday morning, breaking his own previous record. Sherpa, who is a senior climbing guide, made history again by climbing the WORLD HIGHEST PEAK for the 27th time.  His mountaineering journey began in 1992 when he joined an expedition to Everest as a support staff member. Between 1994 and 2023, he has ascended Everest 27 times, K2 and Lhotse one time each, Manaslu three times and Cho Oyu eight times. He scaled Everest for the first time in 1994 and has climbed it almost every year since then, except in 2014, 2015 and 2020.  Nepal is home to eight of the world's 10 highest peaks and welcomes hundreds of mountaineers each spring, when temperatures are warm and winds are typically calm.
