Need of the hour: apolitical government and the mid-term election
I am not so sure about the other people like me whether they are questioning about the usefulness of our existing constitution which so far has not been able to address the issues and concerns of the nation and the people. I don’t see any tangible things around to see, feel and experience during the last three years except unproductive and filthy political activities. It was so sad and unfortunate to see the senior leaders of the ruling party engaged in blame game accusing each other for no valid political reasons.
Now, one of the senior leaders, Prachanda asking the common people to come out in the streets for peaceful agitation to save the constitution seems to be absolutely irrelevant at this time when the nation is already in political mess. His political image following the Supreme Court verdict nullifying NCP seems to be on the verge of diminishing in the days to come if he continues to play foul politics.
Likewise,
it is so unfortunate to see the senior leaders of other major parties engaged
in political numerical game for forming next coalition government replacing the
Oli led government rather than agreeing and calling for another mid-term polls
to get peoples’ fresh mandate. If not, why don’t they agree on forming an apolitical
government just for holding mid-term elections and give a political passage to
the nation to form a stable government.
Before happenings any political mishap in the country in the coming days, it would be wise for the major political parties and their leaders to act responsibly and sensibly
