Between the UMLs

 Between the UMLs

The on-going factional politics in the CPN-UML has been the talk of the town. It has been a political fun game for its well-wishers and hot topic for the political analysts and critics. Both the factions are trying their level best to undermine each other by flexing their political muscles and trying to pull the second rung leaders towards them. It is yet to be seen who wins the race.

Having said these, it is still not good for both the party as a whole and the senior leaders who claim to be the champions of communism. Also, the timing of their factional politics does not seem to be appropriate considering the pandemic situation and for strengthening peoples’ democracy in the country.

It would be much better for the senior leaders of both the factions to either settle down their differences within the party rather than publicly defaming each other or take their own ways as soon as they can and let nation move ahead in its own political course. If not, be ready for the mid-term poll to get fresh mandates of the sovereign people rather than making the nation a political hostage.
