Better split the party and take your own ways
I am sure the people might not be surprised to know that the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) is on the verge of split as reported in todays (Nov.2/20) The Kathmandu Post. As I have been saying and expressing my concerns for a long time that the two so called communist parties were merged just before the election for their personal political interests and benefits. It has been almost three years; the people have been made fool and were compelled to see their unwanted political drama.
With high expectations, people had voted the NCP during the last general elections and gave them the opportunity to form the strongest and powerful government in the political history of Nepal. Instead, the people have been badly betrayed by this NCP government in many ways. Instead of being sincere and accountable to the people, the senior leaders of this party started playing opportunistic and self-centred politics ignoring completely the hardships of the common people.
It will be much better for this party comprising of the then UML and Maoists to take their own ways and give a break to the nation and the people. Time has also been demanding the people to come out to the streets to express their dissatisfaction with and show their anger to the ruling party for betraying them. In fact, there is nobody to blame for this political mess, it’s the senior leaders of NCP to be blamed for creating this unfortunate and shameful political situation.
In fact, I have nothing to do with any political parties but always wished to see them governing the country with utmost sincerity and being transparent and accountable to the sovereign people. But, so far, none of the political parties and their leaders has been found worthy of respect, responsible, sincere and loyal to the nation and the people. It is so sad and unfortunate.
The whole country and the people are badly struggling with pandemic corona virus on one side and the ruling party senior leaders are fighting for the power. Shame on them.

Ruling Nepal Communist Party on the verge of split?
So Nepal Communist Party chair
KP Sharma Oli has finally spoken his mind. At least leaders of the
faction led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal, the other chair, say so.
According to leaders close to Dahal, Oli told him during their recent meeting that the party should rather split.

A day after meeting with Oli on Saturday—after a gap of 11 days, Dahal on Sunday held a meeting with five of the nine members of the Secretariat at his residence in Khumaltar.
“Dahal briefed the Secretariat members that Oli told him that he won’t call the Secretariat meeting and that he won’t abide by the party committee decisions,” said Narayan Kaji Shrestha, a Secretariat member and the party spokesperson. “According to Dahal, Oli said that if anyone has any issues, it is better to part ways.”
Apart from Shrestha, Ram Bahadur Thapa, home minister in the Oli Cabinet, party vice-chair Bamdev Gautam and senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal were present at the Khumaltar meeting.
The other members in the Secretariat are Oli, Ishwar Pokhrel and Bishnu Poudel, who is also the party general secretary.
Earlier in the day, Poudel had written a meaningful post on Twitter, indicating a serious crisis in the party.
“At this moment, a serious crisis emerged before the unified and integrated existence of the Nepal Communist Party. I would like to request all the leaders, cadres and member comrades to contribute to resolving the internal disputes,” Poudel tweeted. Poudel’s post followed reports that Dahal told leaders close to him that Oli had proposed parting ways instead of dragging on with the existing differences.
