Country heading towards catastrophe
It seems that the government has lost its grip over control of rapid increase of Covid 19 in the country. As reported in the media, it has not been able to increase the number of tests at a time when it should have increased the number of tests considering rising number of infected cases around the country.
When the government decided to ease and even lift lockdown a few days ago, the movement of people and vehilces has been uncontrollable. This situation has been favourable for rapid increase of infected cases.
The government did not put forward any effective measures in controlling the pandemic from the beginning. It has now become clear that the government, which never took any serious effort to fight the pandemic, has no proper plans to respond to the disease.

People are desperate to get PCR done to ensure that they are not affected. Also, PCR test result has been a must for the tenants to show to their landlord before entering their rented rooms. As we can see in the past few days, people are spending days and nights even without foods in front of Surkra Raj Tropical Disease Hospital in Teku for PCR test.
Where is the Ministry of Health and Population and what is it doing? It seems that the country is heading towards a catastrophe and the government seems to be absolutely apathetic towards such a looming crisis. Doctors say that increasing tests and ensuring effective contact tracing and isolation of the infected people will be crucial in lessening the infection rate. However, the authorities have neither increased the number of tests nor paid any heed to contact tracing.
