Fight with COVID 19
I
am sure everyone must be feeling bored, nervous and restless due to three weeks
lockdown. Seems that the government is likely to extend for another 2 weeks
starting from May 2, 2020. We are fortunate in Nepal that until today nobody
has died of this deadly virus and continue crossing fingers for always hearing
good news.
I
see two things that COVID-19 has brought to us:
1.
Fear
All
the human beings in the affected countries are living with fear and anxiety. Thousands
of them are spending their days in lockdown fearing they would be infected with
the disease. Thousands of them have lost their lives. Many of them are being quarantined
and hospitalized. Nobody knows how long they will be spending their lives in
this fearful situation.
2.
Opportunity
This
dreadful situation has given us ample opportunities for the days to come and
taught us many useful lessons for our future generations. Here are some of
them: Respect the nature, respect animal rights, maintain harmony with each
other, be sincere and truthful to oneself, dedicate to climate change, limit
the use of highly hazardous chemicals, no enmity among the nations.
Conclusions:
At
last, the nature has taken its time to renew its vibrant existence which should
be respected by the human beings in the days to come. All the wild birds and
animals must have been surprised, why this sudden calm and quite in this
crowded world and in their natural habitats. All the aquatic animals must have
been surprised to see clean water instead of swimming around in suffocating
water. All the trees nearby the roads must have been surprised not to see heavy
traffic of vehicles for so many days and wondering what happened. I can boldly
say that so called super power human beings are the real loser. Hope they will
learn the lesson from this unusual scary situation and behave accordingly in
the days to come.
Stay
blessed.
