Worried

Nepali citizens seem worried about the future of their nation because of the on-going political polarization among the so called big political parties who continue to flex their political muscles for their own sake. It seems that the country is sooner or later going to enter into another phase of political and social conflicts. The Maoist led 32 political parties do not seem to budge from their initial demand of Regmi’s resignation from the position of Chief Justice (CJ), while Regmi says he won’t resign. This has remained a sticking point as to whether the CPN-M will take part in November 10 election or not.

After coming back from attending UN general assembly in New York, Regmi still thinks that the proposed election will be held on the stipulated date. How can he even think of holding the CA election by sidelining the 33 political parties and using the security forces? For whose sake, is the Regmi government determined to hold the CA election that demands the representation of all the political parties and the Nepali people? What has compelled him not to resign from the position of CJ? Who are behind the scene for barring him and the big parties from using their common sense at this time of political uncertainty? Why don’t they realize the consequences of holding the election using security forces? This is the constitutional assembly election not the parliamentary election.

Nepal is an independent and sovereign country. The senior political leaders should let Nepal and Nepalese live with full honour and dignity.
