The people are becoming increasingly confused by political party leaders interpreting the deal signed among them in their own ways in forming the new government (“Four–Point pact with Morcha unacceptable” Sept.18 Page 2). Earlier, five-point deal signed between UML chairperson Jhala Nath Khanal and Maoist Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal were interpreted very differently by their fellow party leaders. Now, some of the Maoist leaders themselves are sitting in the front rows of the government and criticizing and objecting the four-point deal signed between their party and Samyukta Loktantrik Madhesi Morcha even though there has already been agreement on a new government under the leadership of Babu Ram Bhattarai. Why do these leaders create such confusions among the people? It is a wonder why they don’t first agree on deals within the party ranks and files before going to sign on the deal with another political force. They must know that it is the people that are suffering most
